The high profile advocate died after a long battle with cancer, two hours before Pretoria High Court Judge Hans Fabricius ruled in favour of his application for assisted suicide. O’Regan J: “The right to life is more than existence, it is a right to be treated as a human being with dignity. Without dignity human life is substantially diminished. Without life, there cannot be dignity.” As the advocate for www.fieldsofgreenforall.org.za, Stransham-Ford was assisting Knysna residents with applications for stays of prosecution until the law making cannabis illegal is challenged at the Constitutional Court in 2016. A Knysna resident, who wishes … ‘Click here to read full article…’
It was an experiment in the USA but the child actor must have been freezing for real. Look at all the people bundled up in warm clothes ignoring the cold, homeless child on the pavement. Ignored for two hours until A HOMELESS MAN offered help. There is apathy and willful in Knysna too. People who look to long at bad things around them without doing anything about it eventually don’t see anything at all. Maybe it’s their minds protecting their ego from thinking they’re helpless. But they’re not helpless. You’re not helpless. You can always help someone. And you can, … ‘Click here to read full article…’

A salt water powered car that can reach a top speed of 350km/h – alternative energy is cool. Imagine a world where governments said, “We’re making salt water and wind power our prerogatives. We guarantee practical, cheap solutions to our business and transport energy needs.” Travel costs drop = food price drops. Alternate energy = less pollution = less medical costs. I use this car as a metaphor. All change is within our reach if we start electing responsible leaders and actively participated in our government, ensuring they did what we ‘hired’ them to do. It doesn’t start faraway.'Click here to read full article...'

Is school the right place for your child or should they be homeschooled? It’s a question that man parents have asked even if they’re both forced to work. No school has the same standards as another but concerns in Knysna, whether true or false, are that: Government classes are overcrowded, teachers overstressed and drug usage has increased, culminating in growing teen crime and, overall, an unhealthy, lessor education than should be possible. The lack of discipline is a major concern. Conversely, a well respected private school has been criticised for placing far too much emphasis and money into sport. A word of warning and loving suggestion to Knysna… I’ve expressed my worries about banks such as Africa Bank getting rich too quick by dishing out loans to those who should not qualify for loans. It’s the reason why i never joined the rush to Capitec. Even major banks such as FNB have introduced short term loans with interest rates akin to loan sharks. The banking industry is flailing the public. Not only does unnecessary debt make slaves of the poor forever, it pushes South Africa towards the edge of a cliff. Our country didn’t learn the lesson from the … ‘Click here to read full article…’
