This week, i was in court for a related case and had the case postponed. As usual, Advocate Julie Seton stood in opposition. I must be a special person to always have advocates against me in our lower courts 🙂
The Knysna Magistrates Court is taking a long time with response to my appeal in the CEO of Knysna Tourism case that found the Magistrate ignoring all my evidence on a technicality (that he didn’t have to enforce). I’m appealing for the evidence to be included so that the condition of fair trial is upheld. I don’t provide you details as i don’t want to prejudice the case. But i will make all court documents available to you this year. Ironically, it was the DA who set precedent with regards all filed documents being allowed for view by the public i.e. it’s no longer sub judice, a far too convenient word used by politicians etc. to prevent truth and transparency.
All the cases i’ve been in will be challenged. I will be querying court officials too.
If the Lower Court persists in ignoring fair trial, i will have no choice but to go to High Court.
Justice can only be possible if cases are judged on merit and evidence, not technicalities. If not, it’s the same as saying that justice isn’t accessible to those who can’t afford lawyers and advocates. The law, by law, is supposed to be accessible to all. I despise those who support a world where power and money are more likely decide who is right.
With regards the bigger picture, i intend getting to the Constitutional Court within the next 2 years. It may seem like long but i’ve already been in the mud for 4 years, 8 months, 2 weeks and 2 days. It’s important that i learn more about the law before initiating my main litigation cases i.e. i will be suing everyone who has damaged our town, including the DA. I was never a patient person but i have my enemies to thank for curing me of that.
I’m concurrently fighting a legal battle for my father who had his retirement dented by untrustworthy people.
Since i took a ‘break’, i’ve gotten more organised but still have so much to do. It’s possible that i focus entirely on the legal aspect, except for the occasional feature article and summary of Council meetings. To run free advertising and keep you constantly informed takes up the whole day. I consider all that important but not as important as bringing justice to our town.
I don’t know if the DA or the ANC will win our town next election (it will be close). However, i hope that the new Council, because of my efforts, will be missing politicians from both parties. There are rotten eggs that need to go.
I see that there’s a new round of propaganda against me. It’s too be expected… in fact, it will likely only increase until elections. After all, the very people i’m accusing of failing us are all running for office again. I promise to drop landmines before they are elected. Time has simply not being on my side.
Propaganda is cowardly wrong but oddly good too (because it gives me more evidence for my forthcoming cases). They may be evil but they’re useful idiots too.
Until then, ask yourself if they’re answering the questions that need answering… and after they mention any topic, simply search for it on this website. They never use facts, just innuendo and lies. My website is full of info!
As said several times before, i look forward to when this is behind me and i can focus on the children’s project (and my dad, who will have moved here by then). But that day is not today.
Wish me well… wish us all well..
