I was so tired that when i awoke i wasn’t sure if i had slept half an hour or slept 2 hours whilst dreaming of having slept only half an hour – yeah, i was that confuzzled. I finished preparing for the case 4 minutes before i had to leave for the Knysna Magistrates’ Court to defend myself against the DA’s Magda Moos who was requesting a Protection Order to stop me blogging.
When proceedings began, my brain woke up and i was fine for the day. Court took up the whole day but at least we finished it. I learned a lot – i began shaky but ended better
Win or lose, it gave me confidence to do better next time. I appreciate that Magistrate Goosen was patient with me.
I now know what to expect and understand the procedure better (whereas i had to wing some of it today).
Can’t give you a result because judgement has been delayed until June 17 – yeah, a 6-week wait!
Today was also valuable as i gained information about the DA i had suspected – i can use it. Keeping mum for now – i’ll wait for the judgement first.
Next case in the magistrate’s court is CEO of Tourism vs Me in a month’s time. Unsure what’s happening with Edge and me in High Court.
Had beers with a mate and going to watch a movie and fall asleep early so that i blog something important in the morning about the Special Council Meeting happening at 9am.
Thanks for the well-wishes and donators – it helped!
PS: photo of me at Sailor Sam’s was during lunch break. Gave me my first chow of the day and the opportunity to write a closing argument. Friendly service too 🙂
