Within 15 years in South Africa, at the current ‘growth’ rate, there will be 91 Blacks, 7 Coloureds, 1 Asian and 1 White in every group of 100 people below the age of 24. Race will be hardly an issue as Blacks will dominate.
As my readers know, i hate bigots judging people by the colour of their skin but my feelings on the matter don’t remove racism from our country. Additionally, we cannot ignore that associated social problems such as unemployment and poor education are highest amongst the Black demographic. That’s not the result of White persecution but the result of a Black baby boom and the corruption of the ANC government where it is hard to find a White person in its membership. No, i haven’t forgotten that there are White CEO’s of massive corporations crouching over our country like salivating lions. Many are foreigners i.e. not White South Africans… and the maths, as i’m explaining, will make locals less relevant…
Don’t misunderstand me – of course there are White racists (as there are Black racists), our politicians (both sides) thrive on racial hate and fear, but it will becoming increasingly difficult for the ANC to play the race card as it will look silly if those 91 Black youth blamed the 1 White youth. Additionally, most Whites who supported Apartheid will be retired or dead.
I would expect, as we’ve never gotten civilised and educated enough to overcome our irrational and unproductive divides, that inter-tribal rivalry (e.g. Zulu versus Xhosa) will amplify. I say that because, no matter where people are in this world, they look to blame someone who looks different to them for their own problems. Take a bunch of White people and throw them into a White-only country and they will divide themselves, for example, by religion or those who are farmers versus those who aren’t.
It’s an Ego thing. It’s a Lazy thing. Rarely is it a True thing.
Hate and the lack of Reason are very much part of the human condition, more noticeable as we make babies into billions more of us populating our planet.
The Maths of it all makes the Future an essential challenge to be overcome. At least, that’s what an optimist would say. Most will just be very scared.
PS: These thoughts ‘inspired’ by the abortion that was SONA last night. Police!!! WTF!
