Facebook Alert: Do You Know This Man?

Knysna Keep Posted on Jan 5, 2014 by Mike HamptonMay 29, 2019
Mark Allan of Knysna with his hate

Before this blog existed, there was little insight into the misdeeds of our local government. Highlighting their failures regularly puts me in the hot seat which makes my life, to put it politely, interesting. Today, it touches on some of you that i know. I refuse to pretend to be anyone but me. Whilst some may, for example, go to church on Sundays (but fail to be moral the other 6 days of the week), i believe in being me, warts and all. If i don’t allow you to see all of me then how could i ever be a … ‘Click here to read full article…’

Dear Helen Zille, You’re My Disappointment

Knysna Keep Posted on Nov 12, 2013 by Mike HamptonMay 17, 2016

ATTENTION KNYSNA! This article will likely decide my little future but i’m hoping that it encourages a bigger future for all of us. No matter what political party you belong to, we all live in Knysna and want better lives that are safer and honest. Please give this your full attention! We have to stop Knysna falling apart. Politically, i’ve tried (and failed) alone. You and i cannot change the status quo overnight. South Africa is in a free fall. Knysna, for example, has one of the worst murder rates in the world (when compared to the murder ration in … ‘Click here to read full article…’

KnysnaFM Fails Public with Greg Vogt Interview

Knysna Keep Posted on Jun 26, 2013 by Mike HamptonJun 26, 2013

Bizz Buzz, the local social news program on KnysnaFM, represented by Craig de Villiers, Dave Hendry and Ralph Sparg, totally failed the public this morning. They had the opportunity to put serious, much-needed questions to Greg Vogt, the Chairman of the Knysna Tourism Board. Before Vogt, a man who is good at talking a lot with sincerity but without actually answering, came on air, they began by complaining about controversies on Google Page rankings, that the top pages are dominated by negativity e.g. municipality, developments etc. I’ve obviously played a role in that but never forget that i’m a consequence … ‘Click here to read full article…’

Knysna Chamber of Business Closes

Knysna Keep Posted on Jun 5, 2013 by Mike HamptonJun 5, 2013

This morning, on KnysnaFM, it was announced by the Knysna Chamber of Business‘ ex-chairman, Dave Hendry, that the organization had closed as lot of members have not paid their subs and they no longer have the finances to keep even the “little things” going such as the website, database software etc. “I understand that times are tough and not as easy as 5 years ago,” said Dave Hendry. “We had to ask if it was achieving what we wanted…and it wasn’t.” Although he hoped that someone else would find sponsorship and pick up the ball, he expressed his disappointment at … ‘Click here to read full article…’
