You will all remember the BIG ruckus that ensued after the DA-led Bitou Municipality removed Lonwabo Nqogo from his post as the Municipal Manager of Bitou. He was, of course, just one in the line of many but, obviously, because of his important position, it sent earthquakes through the seaside town of Plettenberg Bay. For the hearing, the DA had pulled in retired Judge Combrinck who seemed to disregard the law in favour of the DA. There are exceptions to almost everything but the stereotypical politician, at least every one i’ve met so far, literally plays a game with our lives whilst earning fat pay cheques and power that can be abused. Isolation only creates temporary protection and denial is not a weapon. Forget government statistics. Half our town’s residents are unemployed and much of the other half are living on low wages. South Africans are getting pissed off. I fear for our country more than i ever have before. No matter how much i’m against it, minorities will be the first hurt by unbottled rage. White people need to start embracing the country as it is and not how they wish it still was. We are not Europe. We need to act like South Africans.
