In an interview with Ryland Fisher, she spoke frankly about her relationship with President Jacob Zuma, rogue elements within the ruling party, her reasons for letting her ANC membership lapse, and her hopes for South Africa’s future. Madonsela’s speech touched on various issues that we face as a country today, and she was humbled by the fact that Aggett was one of the people who had inspired her to get involved in the struggle. In some way, Aggett and others like him, paved the way for our democracy. … ‘Click here to read full article…’

I’ve yet to receive anything from Parliament. Parliament hasn’t responded to my supplementary evidence or messages for a while. I don’t believe that the PP is the best course but would, of course, accept that route, if true. Pravin Gordhan’s 2016 budget speech gave me more hope in one shot than i’ve felt in a whole year. Sure, we have enormous challenges ahead of us but we have to work with what we’ve got and create what we haven’t. He allocated lots more money to education and promised to reduced state entities – SAA is finally heading to a shake-up – hallelujah! He’s also getting rid of 21 municipalities and promising more oversight over the 257 that will remain. It was bold talk, it was good talk! I believe that imagination can make a better reality so, please, … ‘Click here to read full article…’
