Today or tomorrow, March 5 & 6 2016. You can register to vote in the 2016 Municipal Elections for Knysna. To register you will need either your green bar-coded ID book, smartcard ID or valid Temporary Identity Certificate (TIC). To check your registration details, you can send an SMS with your ID number to 32810 (R1.00 per SMS). If you have moved, your voting district may have changed (even if you’re in the same ward) and you’ll have to re-register. If you need to apply for registration to vote in the upcoming elections, then you must do so on the 9th or 10th of November 2013 at your voting station in the voting district where you live. To find your voting station, visit http://maps.elections.org.za/vsfinder and type “Knysna” into the search bar. Then click on the area you live in. If you’re like me, for example, who lives in Ward 10 which is mostly Central Knysna, then you’d head to Knysna Primary School.
